Puppy Preschool Program
Our small, weekly preschool sessions, hosted by Shannon Tucker, allow for personalized attention and address any questions that your may have. Through guidance of our staff and participation of other puppy owners, you will learn proper puppy socialization and confidence building.
Your puppy will be much better equipped to handle 'scary' stimuli such as noises, vacuums, varied surfaces, and new environments such as a veterinarian's office.
Among the topics covered are:
- play biting
- chewing/destructive behaviors
- walking on a leash
- food/toy possessiveness
- crate training
- acclimating to basic grooming such as nail trims, ear cleaning and baths
For $55.00, you will receive three puppy group class sessions with a certified professional dog trainer and veterinary technician. Upon completion of our preschool program, your dog will be better prepared to participate in formal obedience training. The cost of puppy preschool may be applied toward any Synergy K9 Training formal obedience training program.
- Proof of Bordetella and Distemper/Parvo vaccines
- Preschool is designed for puppies up to 16 weeks of age
- Puppies must be in good health
- All breeds welcome
Puppy preschool teaches owners to better understand their puppy's needs, establish effective communication, prevent behavior problems, and to show owners how to properly socialize their new puppy.
You are establishing patterns in your dog's behavior from day one. We teach new puppy owners how to positively influence and shape the behavior of their puppy. With our guidance on how to properly interact with your puppy and setting fair limits that your puppy understands, you will prevent future serious behavioral issues, such as aggression and anxiety.
Your puppy will be faced with new, potentially intimidating situations throughout his life and the direction we provide at this impressionable age will last a lifetime!
We look forward to assisting your in raising a well-mannered family companion!
